Mauser 98k takedown prototype replica

Our replica of the „Karabiner 98k mit abnehmbarem Lauf für den Luftlandeeinsatz“. It is a Mauser 98k takedown rifle designed for paratroopers, but this rifle never saw combat, as it remained only a prototype.

This is probably the closest thing to the „real deal“ made from a byf 42 with matching numbers and stamped with original, period-correct markings.
